Sep 13, 2004 – This study in style accompanies the launch of the 1007 and demonstrates its ability to alter its identity, in particular by accentuating the model’s distinctive sporting character. The designers embarked on an exercise in styling that would strengthen its personality still further and reveal a more sporty and exclusive character.
The headlamps are highlighted by chrome trims, while the grille is circled with a chrome bead. The door mirror deflectors have a carbon finish and an RC badge is located in the extension of each door rail. At the rear, an aerodynamic black spoiler extends the roof. At the bottom of the rear bumper skirt, is a grille with a chrome-plated surround, from each end of which protrudes a chrome-plated exhaust trim.
The passenger compartment features a leather-lined fascia panel with visible stitching, continued on the steering wheel and door panels. The roof and fittings receive a deep grey alcantara finish. The central console has a carbon finish, while the rim of the air vents is brushed aluminium. At the top of the front seat backs there is a badge with the RC emblem. To complete the exercise, three special interchangeable Caméléo interior trims have been reserved for the 1007 RC. The first is 'Titane', with seat inserts, door pane inserts and rear armrest covers in perforated grey alcantara with matching fascia panel trims in the same material, the passenger side having a pocket style finish. The second RC Caméléo called 'Fusion' is red, while the third, 'Cadmium', is saffron yellow.
The 1007RC on 18'' alloy wheels with a 'forked' design and a 'chrome shadow' finish.Through the wheels, black lacquered brake calipers with the Peugeot name painted in white are visible. Power is from a 1.6 litre 4-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts and 16 valves offering a power of 105 kW (140 bhp).
