The 2006 Honda Civic isn't yet on sale over here - but around 25,000 have already been recalled in the US. This is for an improperly-fitted accelerator pedal, which could come loose and cause the throttle to stick.
The majority of the vehicles recalled in the US are in stock at dealerships and have not yet been sold to customers; new owners who have taken delivery have been notified. The problem was discovered by a dealer and Honda has carried out its own investigation.
