دأبت مجموعة من النصابين تتخذ من نيجيريا مقرا لها على إرسال رسائل بريدية الكترونية لها صيغة واحدة حيث يزعم المرسل انه ابن حاكم سابق في نيجيريا وان لوالده مبالغ هائلة في البنوك ويطلب المساعدة في سحبها مقابل عمولة كبيرة ... وتتم عملية النصب من خلال مطالبة صاحب الرسالة بتحويل مبلغ مبدئي له على الحساب ... ومن بين الضحايا مواطنا مصريا تعرض لهذه العملية ولكنه تمكن من استدراج النصاب الى مصر حيث تم ايقافه
الجديد هنا ... هو ان نفس النصابين بدأوا يستخدمون اسم سهى الطويل في العملية حيث يوزعون رسائل باسمها تزعم انها تريد سحب مبالغ كبيرة من بنوك وتحتاج الى مساعدة ... نفس عملية النصب النيجيرية ولكن هذه المرة يتم استغلال اسم سهى الطويل خاصة بعد وفاة عرفات ونشر اخبار عن وجود حسابات سرية باسمه ... ومن الملاحظ ان النصابين يوجهون رسائلهم بكثافة الى العناوين الالكترونية المملوكة لعرب لعلهم يصطادون ضحية عربية
