Comparative

I want to explain lesson about Comparative adjectives.

We use comparative adjectives to compare two things. We have two forms ,first form adds “er” after adjective and we often use “er” with all one-syllable adjectives.
Small converts smaller.
Slow converts slower ..
Cheap converts Cheaper
These adjectives (small, slow, cheap,….. )are one-syllable adjectives.so we use er with adjectives.
Example
Ali is smaller than fady
Second form adds more before adjective and we always use more with all two or three-syllable adjcetives.
Interesting maks more Interesting.
Expensive is three-syllable adj so we say more expensive [ex-pen-sive].
Careful is two-syllable adj, so we use “more” before adjective, Careful is [care ful].

Good converts to better and bad adj converts to worse in comparative sentences, we can`t say Ali is gooder than Saed, but we say Ali is better than Saed.
